Beyond Awareness: Changing the Menopause Conversation in African Workplaces

200+ women. One 90-minute Menopause Masterclass. And one big realisation.

My recent Menopause Masterclass, with more than 200 women joining from across Africa, got me thinking…

How much information can anyone really digest about menopause in 90 minutes?

Honestly? Not much.

Menopause is not a 90-minute topic.

It’s hormones.
It’s symptoms.
It’s sleep, mood, confidence and brain fog.
It’s relationships and identity.
It’s long-term health.
It’s work.
It’s understanding what is happening in your body — and knowing what to do about it.

We barely scratch the surface in 90 minutes.

But you know what I LOVE?

That women are asking questions.

They are learning about their bodies.
They are realising that they are not imagining everything.
They are talking about things that have been whispered about for far too long.

And this is where my bigger vision comes in.

I want to take menopause into organisations across Africa.

Not just to women.

To more people. More men. More line managers. More HR leaders. More decision-makers.

Because awareness is only the beginning.

We need organisations that understand menopause.
We need managers who know how to support someone going through it.
We need HR leaders who understand the workplace impact.
We need practical systems, policies and support structures that make a real difference.

Menopause shouldn’t be something a woman has to quietly manage around her working day.

It should be something organisations are prepared for.

So yes, I’ll keep doing the 60-minute webinars and the 90-minute masterclasses.

But my ambition is much bigger than that.

I want to help change the menopause conversation across Africa — and turn awareness into action.

And Africa…

I’m not stopping until we make this happen.

Because women deserve to understand what is happening to their bodies.

They deserve support.

And they absolutely deserve a workplace that doesn’t make midlife harder than it needs to be.

We have a lot of work to do. And I’m ready. 💚
